2024 Sweater Weather Sampler

They are BAAAAAAACK!! The 9 Patch Collective is an adorable group of designers who came together in 2023 with the Sweater Weather sampler - a collection of modern fall blocks to make one cutie patootie quilt. And this year’s quilt is just as darling as last year’s. I mean, that apple! The wheat! THOSE MUGS!!! I might need to make a full quilt from each of these blocks - is that unreasonable?

TCQ’s Participation

I am delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor this event! TCQ is offering 25% off longarm quilting services for any Sweater Weather Quilt that arrives before the end of 2024. I’m happy to take variations of the quilt as well. For instance, if you decide you want to make a quilt from just a handful of the blocks, or repeat one block 9 times, I’m totally here for it.

The last block of the event comes out in the middle of our holiday rush so if you’d like it back before we close for our winter break be sure you are familiar with our turnaround and timelines for the season.

And as always, we have some discount fine print and details.

Designers and Timelines

“But wait, TCQ! I want to know more about this project!”
Don’t worry, I’ve got you!

The 9 Patch Collective is comprised of these spectacular humans: Abby Maed, Crafty Moose Quilts, Cream City Studio, Carnelian Quilting, Dreamland Quilting, Heck Yes Sew Co, Remi Vail Studio, Sew Joyful, and Quilt Scouts.

The SAL runs from the beginning of September through the start of November with a new block being emailed to you each week. You can make them all into one quilt or use your favorite blocks for special projects like pillows and totes.

This quilt is the cover quilt - every designer made their own block to contribute and we quilted it with the Vinery panto.

There are quilt kits for this as well - in the states you can buy them from Crafty Moose Quilts and Sew Joyful Studios. Below are a few I’ve quilted for the designers - Quilt Scouts, Abby Maed, and Cream City Studio respectively.

Shall we chat for a minute about pantographs? Yes, I think we shall. There are so, so many that would look great on this quilt besides the ones pictured already. I’ve pulled a few (or more) from my collection that I think would be great choices.

I think that about covers it! If you have any questions, please reach out. Otherwise, I hope to see your quilt soon!
