Calculating Costs for TCQ Services

Trace Creek Quilting has always worked hard to make sure the costs for our services are as straightforward and easy to understand as possible. We do our best to avoid random fees or complicated pricing. Occasionally these things are necessary, but it’s our hope that we are as transparent as possible when it comes to how you might spend your money with us. One thing that has never been super easy is the math our costs require. Square inches? Measure the parameter? Fractions of a cent? If your short side is bigger than…. We totally hear you.

With the help of my amazing web developers, TCQ has created a calculator to help estimate the cost of all the services we have to offer! Simply plug in the short and long side measurements of your quilt, select which services you need, and voila! An estimation that will help you budget all of your upcoming projects! Pricing for Services and Products

• Quilting Services: $.0275/square inch, min $50 charge.

  • We do offer discount patterns at $.025/sq in.

  • Some patterns, particularly linear ones like straight line quilting, may incur additional charges if a higher density is requested.

• Batting:

• 50/50 Cotton/Bamboo: Quilts 90” or less: $3/linear foot, king size flat fee of $40.

• 100% Wool: Quilts 90” or less: $4.50/linear foot, king size flat fee of $55.

• Binding:

• $1.25/linear foot to be attached to the front for you to hand turn to the back.

• $2.50/linear foot for us to do it completely by machine from start to finish. 

• Piecing Backing: 

• $15/seam

• $30/seam to match the pattern

• Backing Adjustments: If your backing is something to which we have to make significant adjustments in order to use it, costs start at $15. 

• Fabric: We have some basic Bella solids that we can use in a pinch. $7/yd.

• Shipping:

  • $15 flat fee for one quilt, $5 for any additional quilts we can fit in the box. 

  • Additional insurance beyond the included $100

    • $101 - 500 worth of insurance is $5 flat fee

    • $501 - 1000 worth of insurance is $10 flat fee.

  • Specific carrier or service requests are welcome but may incur additional costs.

• Per Hour Labor: $25/hour.

• Pantograph Acquisition: $10-16

• Rush Fee: $50

  • $35 Everyday Package

  • $50 Extended Package

  • $35 Quilt Show Package
