Pricing Adjustments, 2022
Trace Creek Quilting is not going to escape the state of world economics and we will be raising our prices September 1st. However, I believe, and I’m pretty sure you do too, that TCQ brings a lot of value to the table and in the end, is worth supporting. Let me take a moment to share how we are more than just quilters in our community!
TCQ is a Family
When you use our services, you are not just supporting me, you are supporting a whole team of local individuals. We have 4 regular part time employees and 4 more who help with more sporadic work. Our structure allows these folks to work from home, be there for their families, and stay flexible in ways that benefit the quilts and customers that come through the studio. TCQ Gives Back
I’ve found that running a longarming company gives me new and interesting ways to give back to my community. We regularly donate our services to local groups who are making quilts for charities such as Project Linus and the local Women’s Safe House. We send leftover supplies to groups who sew for Newborns in Need and the MO Dept of Corrections Restorative Justice Project. We’ve donated quilts and prizes to raffles and auctions to raise funds for Ukraine, anti-racism organizations, wildfire, flood, and school shooting victims.
Modern Service Quilts
TCQ co-founded Modern Service Quilts, an organization that serves to bring modern quilt design to veteran service quilts, while also highlighting lesser-known veterans’ groups. We partner with others in the industry to raise money for these veteran groups while also making and encouraging others to make quilts for those who have served.
Partnerships and Collaborations
Not only do we want to uplift those in our community, but also those within our industry. We’ve partnered with several pattern designers and fabric shops to test their patterns, promote their work, and support their sew a-longs. This is beneficial to them, to us, and of course to YOU as it often results in longarming discounts for you to take advantage of! Right now we have 4 going on with (fingers crossed!) two more coming this fall!
You Get Your Quilt Quilted!
I know it sounds obvious, but let’s not forget the main value of TCQ - you don’t have to quilt it!!
Remember what it’s like to baste a quilt at home? The spray?! The pins?! And then, once your lungs and knees have recovered, you still have to wrestle that puppy through your domestic. Good times? No, I think not.
We not only take that off your plate, but we do it in a way that provides gorgeous patterns and stitches. All you have to do is open up that package and snuggle up!
So now that I’ve re-sold you on why you use TCQ in the first place, I probably should get down to it and discuss the pricing updates. It’s not all bad, I promise. :)
Effective September 1, 2022, our longarm quilting services for edge to edge designs will go from $.0225/square inch to $.0275/square inch. This pricing will apply to quilts that arrive in the studio on or after September 1st. Quilts that arrive before this date but are not invoiced until after will be invoiced at the current rate of $.0225. Batting, binding services, backing services, and shipping prices will all remain the same. We will update the order form in mid-August.
The Rest of the Good News!
We know there are many other ways you need to spend your money, and quilting with us is a luxury. To help spread your dollar as much as possible in the shop we are:
-Identifying a handful of patterns to offer at a discount.
-Working with designers and fabric shops to get some TCQ coupons out in the world.
