In an effort to support and promote creativity in the modern quilting world, Trace Creek Quilting excitedly offers a discount for invited pattern writers. Here are the basics, see below for additional details and fine print.
Pattern Release Discount: Free longarm quilting on up to 2 quilts made to promote you and your business during release campaigns.
Pattern Tester Discount: 40% discount for your pattern testers!
QAL Giveaway: A prize of free longarm quilting during your QAL as well as 25% discount to all QAL participants!
Additional Quilts: 40% discount on longarm services for any additional quilt you will be promoting on social media and tagging your favorite longarmer. ;)

Details and Fine Print
Pattern Release Discount and Additional Quilts:
We will provide free quilting services for up to 2 quilts that will be featured throughout your release campaign.
We will provide 40% off for any pattern tester whose quilt arrives in our studio up to 2 weeks after the pattern release date. (They should complete the regular Order Form found on our main page -not the one designated for you.) Ideally your testers would send their quilts before release so we could quilt them in time for posting on release day as that publicity is part of the incentive for us, but we realize that’s not always possible.
All other quilts from you will be 40% off longarming.
What is included: These discounts apply to the longarm quilting only. Return shipping, batting, and additional services such as binding are not included. NOTE: There is a minimum $50 charge for the quilting services on all quilts, even after other discounts are applied. The only exception is for the quilts we are doing at 100% off.
What do we expect in return?
Quilting credit every time these quilts are put out into the world. IE: Blog posts, newsletters, and social media posts.
If we longarm your cover quilt we would very much like credit within the pattern itself, both print and digital versions
If the quilt is published or displayed elsewhere (blogs, books, magazines, online subscriptions, look books, quilt shows…) we should be properly credited. Note: not all publications ask for longarming information - it may be up to you to be our advocate and ensure we are included.
On Instagram, a simple line of credit at the bottom of your post go a long way for us!
A little IG/FB/Pinterest love when it works into your campaigns that let folks know you’ve used our services.
Make sure your pattern testers are aware of their discount opportunity and the timing of it.
Honest feedback on our services, patterns, and anything else you think we should be aware of as it relates to attracting customers who are purchasing your patterns. Your input helps us be at the top of our game!
QAL and Other Event Sponsorship Offers:
Free longarming quilting, batting, and return domestic shipping for one of your participants.
25% off for all participants on their QAL quilts for a designated time following the conclusion of the event. This discount includes the longarming services. It does not apply to the return shipping, batting or any additional services needed such as piecing backing or binding work.
Free longarming for the pattern writer’s QAL make if received by the end of the QAL. This timing allows us to be a part of the hype at the conclusion of the event.
We are happy to consider other ideas and thoughts that would both support your event and promote Trace Creek Quilting.

Trace Creek Quilting focuses on E2E quilting at this time. We are not currently doing custom quilting.
We tell our average customer our turnaround is 4 weeks. However, we understand the release timeline and testing process is often more compact than that. We will always prioritize your projects, however, if you expect you will not be able to have your quilt in the studio for at least 2 weeks, be sure to get in touch as soon as this is discovered to ensure we can make it happen. Sometimes high volumes times, vacations, and shipping issues can put us in a bind.
Be aware of our holiday schedule and winter break! Sometimes those January releases get caught in that time warp and we have to plan/communicate a bit more to get things done. Here is our 2022 schedule as an example.
